Merchant Warehouse Offers Precidia POSLynx220™ to Dealers

New flexible "one device" IP based ECR card acceptance solution debuts this week.

Merchant Warehouse, Boston-based and industry-leading provider of credit card equipment and processing services, today announced it has teamed with Precidia Technologies, the leader in IP enabling solutions, to bring the POSLynx220™ with NetVu™ to North American ECR dealers. Merchant Warehouse is unveiling a special introductory offer on the solution to dealers at this week’s RSPA Expotech. The POSLynx220 with NetVu is a new, flexible solution that integrates IP based payment processing with existing electronic cash registers (ECRs), all with one device.

Dealers will receive $100 off each POSLynx220 unit purchased before September 30, 2006.

In addition to its ‘one device’ approach to IP based processing, this solution is differentiated from existing options by several key features. First, the device can route to multiple hosts based on card type, via Ethernet or dial. This allows for greater competition amongst processors, and better pricing for merchants. Second, the device is managed and configured by the reseller. This frees the merchant from excessive maintenance costs, facilitates fast and cost effective upgrades, and gives resellers tools to better support merchants.

"This solution gives resellers and merchants an unprecedented degree of flexibility in managing their card acceptance", said Henry Helgeson, President of Merchant Warehouse. "The POSLynx220 provides an alternative to currently available options that is faster, reseller-managed and less costly to maintain. We see tremendous potential for this solution amongst ECR merchants in North America". Precidia Technologies President Deepak Wanner believes Merchant Warehouse is playing a pivotal role in the evolution of the ECR industry: "Until now, ECR merchants and their resellers were limited in their choice of processors, and in their ability to manage their own payment systems. With today’s announcement, Merchant Warehouse is a leader in a growing shift towards technologies that offer greater flexibility, value added features, and lower costs", said Mr. Wanner. For more information on the POSLynx220 ECR solution, visit www.precidia.com/ecr.

Contactless Payments

Merchant Warehouse Now Offers Contactless Payments for Credit Card Processing

June 19, 2006 - Merchant Warehouse, Boston-based provider of credit card equipment and processing services, today announced the launch of contactless payment terminals available through our website.

Contactless payment terminals have rapidly become part of the present and future of credit card transactions. Also known as "tap and pay", contactless payment provides benefits to both retailers and consumers, particularly in the areas of speed and convenience. Transactions occur as a customer waves or taps their card to the terminal, rather than handing a credit card to a cashier and signing an authorization slip.

Merchant Warehouse begins its launch with the Saturn 5000 terminal, manufactured by OTI. Merchants with credit card terminals can utilize the "plug-and-play" design, which provides for a quick and seamless upgrade, without disrupting business activities. Contactless payment terminals are most beneficial for retailers whose average ticket is under $25.00 and for those who truly rely on efficiency and speed in transaction times, such as quick service restaurants, convenience stores, and drug stores / pharmacies.

"We are very excited to introduce contactless payment solutions to our merchants", said Henry Helgeson, President of Merchant Warehouse. "The speed, convenience, and faster transaction times will help facilitate greater consumer loyalty at the respective retail outlet who integrates contactless payments".
